Hey there, I'm Robert, but you can call me Blender Bob in the VFX film industry. With nearly three decades of experience under my belt, I've worked on numerous big feature films, including five animated ones. But I'm not just a VFX artist; I'm also a director and screenwriter.
If you're curious to see the projects I've worked on over the years, check out the link below that showcases my journey through the VFX world.
Tiki is not a short film; it's a full-blown, 90-minute animated feature! Picture this: Four thousand years ago, we meet Manatea, a young Polynesian man drifting aimlessly on the Pacific Ocean with a chicken, a pig, and a cow. He's been at sea for four long years, driven by a singular goal—to become a strong, beautiful, and courageous warrior to win the heart of his true love.
Fast forward to the present day, and we encounter Damien, a genius European scientist with blonde hair and blue eyes, but also full of himself. He made a fortune by supplying his supplements to Olympic athletes—yes, all of them! But now, Damien craves a simpler life, far away from society, sailing the world and basking in the serenity of an island.
By a twist of fate, both Manatea and Damien crash onto the same island—four millennia apart. And there, on the sandy shores, they stumble upon the Tiki, a mystical Polynesian sculpture. This enchanted artifact triggers a magical shockwave that brings them together in the same timeline. Now, Damien possesses the supplements that Manatea needs to fulfill his dreams of strength, beauty, and courage. But this gift comes at a price.
Tiki is an utterly absurd story, packed with nonsensical humor. If you're familiar with classic films like Airplane, Top Secret, and the Naked Gun series, you'll know the kind of humor we're aiming for. We're bringing back that vintage style of comedy that you don't often find in movies these days.
Imagine Manatea as the Leonardo DaVinci of Polynesia—constructing mind-boggling inventions like a wind organ or a house with Greco-Roman architecture. Nothing in this movie makes sense, and that's the beauty of it. We've unleashed our creativity and given ourselves the freedom to let our imaginations run wild.
